How to Make Smookies (s’more+cookie)
If you like cinnamon, chocolate, and marshmallows than this is the cookie recipe for you!
Supplies
-3 cups flour
-3/4 cups sugar
-1/3 cups brown sugar
-1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
-2 teaspoons cream of tartar
-2 teaspoons baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 cup unsalted butter, softened
-1 tablespoon vanilla
-2 eggs
-1 1/2 cups of dark chocolate chips
-1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
-3/4 cups sugar
-1/3 cups brown sugar
-1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
-2 teaspoons cream of tartar
-2 teaspoons baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 cup unsalted butter, softened
-1 tablespoon vanilla
-2 eggs
-1 1/2 cups of dark chocolate chips
-1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
Pre-cooking
Lightly butter a sheet tray.
Making the Cookie Dough
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the butter and vanilla with a hand mixer until fluffy and light. Then add in the brown and white sugar. Next add in the eggs, one at at a time. In a separate bowl, whisk together: flour, cinnamon, cream of tartar, salt, and baking soda. Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet and mix together until it is uniformly mixed. Then use a wooden spoon to fold the chocolate chips and marshmallows into the dough. Chill for at least 1 hour in the fridge.
Baking the Cookies
Preheat oven to 375 F° (190 C°). Make a ball of dough about the size of a ping pong ball. Place it on the baking sheet and lightly press it down onto the baking sheet. Give each cookie at least 1/2 inch of room to expand. Cook for 9-11 minutes, and then place on a cooling rack. Optionally, sprinkle a bit of flaky salt on the cookies while they are cooling.
