How to Make Fondant Crowns

These adorable fondant crowns are perfect as cupcake toppers or as small decorations on any princess's cake! They are edible and can easily be made before cake/cupcake baking day.

Prepare Your Fondant

Whether you like to make your own fondant or buy the ready-made variety, use a small roller to flatten the fondant to approximately 1/4 inch.

Cut/Emboss Fondant

Using a fondant cutter or embosser, create your shape in the fondant.

The one I used here is no longer available for purchase (aliexpress.com) but here's something similar at amazon.com.

For added detail, you can use a decorator tip (No. 5 used here) to poke holes in fondant.

"Glue" the Edges

Using a paintbrush, brush a small amount of water at the right and left edge to "glue" the crown together.

Fold the crown around and press the edges together.

Use a fondant cutter tool or a star cutter to give the crown its "points".
