How to Easily Open a Bottle Seal
Opening the seals on bottles is often frustrating, especially for persons with poor hand dexterity or older people not to forget those with their new nail manicure. Following these simple instructions will allow you to easily open the foil or plastic seals on many bottles, especially medicine bottles.
Supplies
- Any bottle with a seal under the lid. Many medicines and liquids have these.
- A knife. Almost any will do. I use a paring knife from my kitchen. A pocket knife is fine.
Preparing the Bottle
Remove the lid from the bottle.
Pierce the Seal
Use the point of the knife to puncture the seal.
Slice the Seal Out
Using the edge of the knife blade inserted into the seal, slowly turn the bottle, keeping the blade against the inside edge of the bottle.
That's All There Is to It
The seal should be severed from the bottle. If you're lucky you'll get a cotton ball as a free prize.
