How to Dutch Braid Your Hair
Are you tired of wearing the same old hair style everyday and you want to try something fun and new? Well here's something easy and simple just for you.
Supplies
- a hairbrush
- two hair ties
Brush Hair
The first thing to do is brush your hair until there are no knots or tangles.
Part Your Hair
The second step is to part your hair down the middle and pull one side back with a hair tie. We'll come back to this side later.
Separating 3 Strands
Staring at the the top of the side that's not pulled back, take a small section of the hair and separate it into three strands.
Left/right Strand Over Middle
Next, cross over either the right or left strand (up to you which one) over the middle strand
Cross Opposite Strand
Now, you will cross the opposite side over the one in the middle.
Crossing Over
Repeat these same steps two or three more times, alternate crossing over the left, right, and middle strands
Adding Hair
Continue the cross over steps above, but now you will start to add hair into your braid as you go.
Process of Crossing Over
You will quickly be able to see the braid forming, so continue the cross over steps until you get to the end.
Tying the End of Your Braid
Once you are finish braiding, use your other hair tie to pull the end together.
Re-brush Hair
After you have finish the first braid, take out the hair tie from the other side and brush out any tangles/knots that have formed.
Repeat
Repeat the entire process on the other side.
Final Product
If you are happy with the way it looks once you're done braiding, you've finished. Make any adjustments that you feels are necessary and enjoy! I hope you like the way it has turned out and you try it sometime.
