How to Draw a Purple Tree With a Lovers' Mark
(Credits to original and respectful owner for the artwork).
--------------------------------------------------
How to draw a purple tree with a lovers' heart mark.
Side Note:
For the tree, I am basing on the trees from the movie called "The Lorax.''
Supplies
The materials you will need for this are:
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Black marker/pen
- Coloring markers. (And some pencils)
- Ruler
- Paper
Setting Up
First, take a piece of paper and draw a line over the paper down below with the ruler.
Secondly, draw two straight lines into this shape together in the middle to shape the tree with the help of the ruler. (You can also make the tree shape smaller if you like).
Lastly, you can optionally draw a circle/oval of how big you want the tree to look like.
The Tree
Now..
We need to draw small curves connecting to the tree shape like this.
Then, let’s draw a heart inside the tree shape. Let’s add some initials now.
I’ll be using Andrew and Dana. You can freely choose other names. You don’t need to completely copy what names I’m using.
The Tree Con’t
You can now erase the lines crossing over the tree shape.
Let’s shade the tree sides a bit.
If you probably shaded it a bit dark, grab your eraser and lightly tap it on the line to lessen the darkness. And fix it if necessary. But if you’re going for a dark-ish shade for it, then please go ahead.

This one is optional but..
To help with the colouring step next, you can draw a small arch over the tree shape according to the photo.
Colouring Time
Now, we can color the tree box and the base. The colors needed for here are;
Brown (Cinnamon style), and a green marker.
Let's slowly color the tree to prevent any small marks outside the tree. - Use a lighter brown coloring pencil and carefully fill the heart. Shade the inside corners a little bit with a darker one like in the photo.

Lightly colour the grass with the green marker diagonally left to right.
Optionals
This step is all optional.
You may skip it if you're ready for the next step.

If you want your initials to stand out more or is not that visible much after the coloring step,
we can use a pencil and write on the initials in a style they were scratched written on the tree to make it a bit realistic.
Which I will be doing.

I have additionally included some falling leaves scattered around the tree in small banana curvy shapes.
The Tree Part 2
For this part, we will need 2 colouring pencils. One Lavender (Or light purple if you don’t have a Lavender in case) and one dark violet.
First, I'll be coloring the falling leaves with Lavender. For those who also added leaves, feel free to join coloring.
Then, I'll add a purple marker to shade some corners.
__________________________________________________
Next, I'll color the oval base of the tree with Lavender.
Additionally, colouring the arch a bit darker and lighter as I colour upwards.

For the oval base on top of the tree, I'll draw some slim banana curves across and around the base. Making the exterior sides of it, showy like the photo.
Doing it over and over again, filling up the oval base.
Final Touches
For this, I'll be using 2 ohuhu markers from the section of purple in my case.
I'll be using the purblish blue marker and use it to outline carefully the slim banana curves everywhere. Then, the ''what i would call it'' similar to magenta but as purple version. I'm going to fill all the insides of the bananas.

Then finally...
For the very last final touch, you can add whatever you like.
Like for an example:
- Your signature
- Black line crossing over the small corners of the page like a frame (Which I have done)
- Write your name in a corner in a different language
- And much more!
