How to Do a Proper Squat
Hey! My Name is Darcy and I have created a video teaching you how to do a proper squat! I made this video to showcase what a squat should look like and to help people learn and not make mistakes that could lead to injury!
Supplies
Flat Footed shoes are recommended (Vans, Converse, etc.)
How to Place Your Feet
To start off we are going to want to make sure that our feet are placed properly so that we are able to get the optimal ROM or Range of Motion, which will lead to less injury and more muscle growth. You are going to want to place your feet about shoulder width apart and angle your toes between 20deg and 45deg.
Knees / Back
Now comes the actual squat. Keep you back straight and bend your knees, putting your quads and butt in a 90deg angle or parallel with the floor.
Stand Up
Then just stand up. Make sure your knees don't shake while you're going up or else the weight might be to heavy for you, or you might just need more practice!
