- 1 1'' x 10'' Lumber - 25.25" Length Wood - Lumber
- 3 1'' x 10'' Lumber - 16.25" Length Wood - Lumber
Assembling the Main Frame
In this stage, we'll put together the primary desk frame. Collect the following materials:
- 4 profiles of 1x10 with a length of 28 inches.
- 2 profiles of 1x10 with a length of 50 inches.
- 1 profile of 1x6 with a length of 52 inches.
For crafting the primary frame, pair each 1x10 profile with another of identical specifications. This assembly will generate a spacious top surface and strong lateral supports, as shown in the diagram above.
Furthermore, we need support for the back of our desk's top section, here we will use the 1x6 profile (referred to as "profile 3" in the diagram). This reinforcement will add to the stability and robustness of the frame we assembled earlier.
By following these steps, you will effectively put together the primary desk frame, establishing a sturdy base for the remaining phases of the project.
Assembling the Desk Shelf
In this step, we will build the shelf of our desk. Collect the following materials:
- 2 profiles of 1x10 with a length of 27 inches.
- 3 profiles of 1x10 with a length of 16.25 inches.
To build the shelf, we shall construct a rigid frame. Arrange the 27-inch profiles at the frame's edges, and join them together using the 16.25-inch profiles. Place the 16.25-inch profiles at both the frame's extremities and in its center.
By following these steps, you are going to craft shelves that will provide storage for your stationery and miscellaneous items. This shelf enhances functionality and organization on your desk, enabling you to maintain a neat and productive workspace.
Final Assembly
Kudos! You're at the final step of building your astonishing desk. Amazing job! The final step involves connecting the two groups we previously put together and firmly anchoring them. Specifically, put the shelves on the bottom right side of your new desk. Once you have finished this step, your wooden desk will be fully built.
Pause and acknowledge the effort you've put in, then relish in your newly created desk. It's fully prepared to function as your designated workspace for a range of activities. Whether it's pursuing your hobbies, work, or school, this desk is designed to offer a practical and customized setting that amplifies both your productivity and enjoyment.
Congratulations on finishing this desk project! Embrace the opportunities of your new workspace and utilize them to the fullest.
