How to Build a 250 Class FPV Quad
Class 250 quad copters have become increasingly popular, especially due to lot's of YouTube videos in which this small machines exhibit amazing speeds and incredible acrobatics. You must know that this kind of flight needs a lot of skill that is gathered with lots of training.
The scope of this instructable is to aid you in building your own racing quad that is also capable of FPV - first person view from a KIT, or from individual parts. I have also added some links to the required parts for informative purpose.
Parts needed that I have also used in this build:
- Class 250 frame - cheap ZMR250 / H250 clone (fiberglass with carbon look)
- 4x EMAX 1806 - 2280 KV motors (2x CW, 2X CCW)

Unpacking and Inspecting All Components
Step 1
First familiarize yourself with the parts, look at the manuals, specs, etc.
Take them out of the boxes and inspect for missing parts like screws, nuts, keys and so on.
How to Wire Everything Up
Step 2
Plan your wiring before putting it on the frame to have a better general aspect of which wire goes where and see how would adding components change the installation position inside the quad.
Building the Frame - Complete Assembly
Step 3
Assemble the quad and check all the screws.
Mounting Electronics on the Frame
Step 4
Install the electronics and the wiring on the frame, solder what's needed.
Configure the CC3D Flight Controller
Step 5
Configure the CC3D flight controller and calibrate the transmitter-receiver using the Open Pilot Software.
Test Flight
Step 6
Try it out - preferably outdoor.
Outdoor Maiden Flight
First test outdoor.
