Hot Wing Bruschetta
Hot Wings! It's classic American fare. And with sports parties in the near future, something we'll be seeing a bit of in the new spring season. So why not change it up a bit? Give something that's classic and loved a slight twist to make it different?
Here's my take on giving it a bit of an upscale twist, and putting it on Bruschetta. It's still the flavors you know and love, but in a sophisticated style.

What You Need
For the recipe you will need:
One French Baguette
2 Chicken Breasts
1/4 cup butter and a little more to grease the pan
1 Stalk of Celery
Heavy Pinch of salt and Pepper
1/4 cup Hot Sauce
1/4 cup Blue Cheese (More or less, depending on how much you like Blue Cheese)

Heavy Pinch of salt and Pepper
1/4 cup Hot Sauce
1/4 cup Blue Cheese (More or less, depending on how much you like Blue Cheese)
Cook the Chicken
Add a small bit of butter to a pan, and then add the chicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook the chicken on the stovetop until it is no longer pink on the inside.
Prep the Bread
As your chicken is cooking, cut the French Baguette on a slight bias (diagonally) in about 1/2 inch slices (mine are a little thin)
Lay the slices on a cookie sheet.

Prep the Celery
As your chicken continues to cook, rinse the celery under water to get off any dirt.
Use a vegetable peeler to shave it down into thin slices. (Not "peeling" the length of the celery, but the width. Otherwise you'll get long celery fibers and it will be chewy)

Spice It Up
Once the chicken is done, add the hot sauce and the rest of the butter to the pan of chicken, and cook until the butter is melted and it comes together as a sauce. Remove the chicken from the pan and cut it into thin slices. Then return it to the pan to soak up the rest of the spicy sauce.
Toast the Bread
Under a broiler toast the slices of bread (if you had a stovetop grill you could do that too)
Assemble
Smear some blue cheese onto the slices of bread. Top with a piece of chicken. Add the final garnish of celery shavings.
Serve
Set on a plate, invite a group of friends over, enjoy a game or whatever else you're interested in, and have a good time.
