Hello!

This Instructable will show you how to make cheese! It's very easy. For the basic recipe, you will only need two ingredients: Milk and lemon juice!

Ingredients

For the cheese, you will need:

  • Milk
  • Lemon Juice
  • Optional: Seasoning: I used some basil. You can also add some salt or other herbs if you like.

Tools

You will need:

  • two pans
  • a sieve
  • a ladle
  • a plate
  • a dish-towel (If you use basil, it will probably become dirty)

Fill the Pan

After a while, clots start to form on the surface. Now, it's important that you keep stirring. It's not grave, if the milk boils. If it boils, put the fire a little bit lower.

More and Bigger Clots Start to Form

More clots start to form and the clots become bigger. The aqueous liquid becomes white-yellow and feculent.

Place the sieve on top of the pan. Drain the clots and liquid in the sieve. The clots wil stay in the sieve, the feclent liquid will go through the sieve and drip into the pan.

The Basil

Put the cheese on a dish-towel on a plate. Put some seasoning (basil) on the cheese.

Knead

Knead the cheese in a dish-towel, so the dish-towel will absorb the water from the cheese.

Eat It!

The cheese is now ready to eat. If you want, you can remove the basil from the cheese.
