Homemade Salsa From Scratch
Does anyone ever just crave chips and salsa? I know I do and going to a Mexican restaurant isn't something I can do whenever I want. So why not make it at home. Homemade salsa is so good! Did I mention it's also easy and comes together so fast! The flavors are so amazing in this salsa! I always try to tell everyone to make every recipe their own by add more or less of the ingredients (not in baking). Ingredients and Tools
Ingredients
- 2 (14.5 oz) cans Diced Tomatoes
- 1 (4.5 oz) can diced Green Chilis
- 4 cloves Garlic (sliced)
- ½ Onion (chopped)
- 1 Jalapeno (deseeded and sliced)
- ½ teaspoon ground Cumin
- ½ Tablespoon Honey
- ½ Cup Cilantro
- Salt (to your tasting)
- Lime Juice (to your tasting)
Tools
- Cuisinart 14-Cup Custom Food Processor
- Pyrex Mixing Bowl
- misc. kitchen utensils
Add Tomatoes and Chilis
To a food processor add diced tomatoes and the green chilis.
Prep Garlic, Onions and Jalapeños
Sliced garlic and chopped onion. Deseed and slice jalapeño.
Add Ingredients to Food Processor
Add in onion, garlic and jalapeño into food processor.
Add Seasonings and Blend
Add cumin, honey and cilantro. Process for about 30 seconds.
Salt and Lime Juice
Slice lime. Add in salt and lime juice to your tasting to the rest of your ingredient.
Process and Enjoy!
Process again for a few seconds or until salsa is to your desired consistency.
