Supplies
Ingredients
- Lemon — 4 pcs
- Sugar — 250 g
- Mint — 1 branch
- Basil — 1 branch
- Water (to taste)
Wash the lemons. In a small bowl, grate the zest of all the lemons, add half of the sugar listed in the ingredients and mix well.
Peel the lemons, remove the white inner layer (albedo) and the seeds. Cut the lemons into large slices.
Place the lemons in a blender, add the remaining sugar and blend until smooth. Add the zest and sugar, and blend again.
Pour the resulting mixture into a container and place in the freezer for 4-6 hours. Once frozen, it makes the perfect base for lemonade. Simply place 1-1.5 tablespoons of the base in a glass, add crushed mint or basil, water (preferably sparkling) and stir. Decorate with a slice of lemon and a mint or basil leaf.
Store the rest in the freezer. Enjoy!
