Homemade Dandelion Coffee.

How to make your own coffee from the weeds in your garden.

Find Some Nice Big Dandelions.

All you have to do is find some nice big dandelions preferably more than 1 year old.
Digg them out and chop of the roots. (Bytheway You can use the leaves for a nice salade)

Prepare Your Oven.

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celcius or 350 degrees Farenheit.

Cleaning

Clean the roots and dry them a bit.

Cut the Roots

Slice the roots in small strips this is to make them dry faster en roast them equaly.

Dry the Roots

Place the sliced roots in the oven for about 1 hour.

The Dried Roots

After 1 hour of drying the roots are a bit darker.

Grind the Roots

Grind the roots up with a mortar and a pestle or a grinder.

Add Some Water

Put a table spoon of grinded roots in a jug and add 1 coffee mug of hot water.

Filter Out the Grinded Roots.

After about 4 minutes you can pour it thru a Sieve in your coffee mug so that the grinded roots are filtered out and enjoy your coffee.
