Homemade Bacon Vodka - (Bloody Mary)
I love Bacon. It fills my tiny heart with joy every time I eat it. Yum yum yum. I figured I would like to drink bacon too! People infuse vodka with all sorts of flavors and I thought bacon flavored vodka would be delicious and would add a nice smokey taste to a Bloody Mary. Bacon fat is used to flavor the vodka! That means you will have crispy bacon to eat or to use as a garnish for your Bloody Mary. Let's fry up some bacon and get started.
Bacon Vodka
3 Tlb. Bacon fat (rendered)
Vodka (375ml)
Mason Jar
Cheese Cloth
Bloody Mary
1.5 Oz bacon vodka
Tomato juice
Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco sauce
Lemon
Lime
Pepper
Render Bacon Fat
Fry up some bacon! Removed rendered fat from pan and set aside. Try to avoid the little particles of bacon the best possible but the cheese cloth will strain most of the particles out later on. You only need the fat so I made a BLT with the bacon I cooked.
Combine Bacon and Vodka
Add 3 Tablespoons of bacon fat to a mason jar and add vodka. Shake up and set on your counter for 6 hours at room temperature. After 6 hours place in the freezer for 30 minutes. Vodka does not freeze but the bacon fat will. Remove from the freezer and pour through cheese cloth into another mason jar. That's all!
