1 Cup of Softened Butter

1 Cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Red and Green Holiday Sprinkles

Personally, my oven is a little old so I keep this in mind when I'm ready to put the cookies in that I might have to go a little over than what the recipe requires. However even if your oven is old you do not want to change the preheating number, this can negatively affect your cookies!

Mixing Your First Ingredients

You want to start off by measuring your 3 cups of flour and and carefully pouring into the bowl- you don't want to make a huge mess of the powder like ingredient! You also want to measure your 3/4 cups of brown sugar and mix it into the flour.

Adding in the Eggs

Crack two eggs off the side of your bowl. Sometimes beating them in a separate bowl will make later mixing easier. Be sure not to get any eggshells in the mix, your cookies will have a very different texture! Mix all together!

Melting Your Butter

Try to measure about a cup of butter. After measuring break it apart if you are using sticks, it makes it easier to melt. Put the broken up butter in a glass bowl with a paper towel on top to prevent splatter in your microwave. Microwave first for about 45 seconds, then stir. If you still have multiple chunks microwave for another 20 seconds and stir again. Repeat this process until there are no chunks. You aren't doing anything wrong, some microwaves are just different!

Slowly pour your butter into your mixing bowl containing your earlier ingredients. Mix until there is a batter like texture and fold in your 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of green and red sprinkles in.

Laying Out Your Cookies

To make your baking sheet less sticky in the later cleaning process, I suggest spraying your pan with Pam Cooking Oil. Now, grab your batter and roll the dough into a 1 inch diameter ball and spread them accordingly- they shouldn't touch! About an inch should be good. Set into your oven for about 13-15 minutes.

Cooling

The cookies take about 5-10 minutes to cool. For extra Christmas flavor you can add more sprinkles to the top however this is just optional. One whole bowl should make about 40 medium sized cookies. Once they are cool you can eat, share and give- socially distanced and with washed hands of course :)
