Headphone/ Headset Stand

Recycling has been a passion for me and currently decided to give a try with used metal as previously was mostly used papers. It started with a broken headset and so it made me realized , I also need to take care of the headset and thus headset stand came into mind.

Supplies

The materials:

  1. 2 soda/ milk cans which is more solid and not too flimsy. (peel off the plastic cover or paint removed)
  2. 1 cocktail can topper or bottom side ( either is ok)
  3. a piece of cut pieces from broken headset
  4. used plastic tubing small diameter which usually found in pumping air in the aquarium
  5. some bolt and nut fasteners ( 2 sizes - used depends on the thickness )

Preparation Steps

Make a hole at the bottom centre of the cans, lids and used headset part with drill or simple screwdriver and hammer. (take a note here the headset parts is platic material so I use drill in case it might crack when you hammer it)

Bottom of the Headset

Put the smallest screw over the can towards the cocktail lid and fastener at the bottom of it (pic 1) So It will give you the product (pic 2)

Top of the Headset

Take the other can and put longer screw and fastener as the headset part had some arch to accommodate with (pic 1). It is a little unstable here in placing the position, so roughly, I measure where the headset part could sit on and chip a little on the wall of the can and hammer in a little to let it sit (pic 2 and 3).

Finishing

Take the top and bottom together, flush wall to wall and join ( I would love it with soldering fit but it might require more tools and such- pic 1). Being only home based and all you have so I round over them with used plastic tubing with hot glue gun and here is your final product (pic 2)

Hope you will enjoy it and make it functional.
