Glasses and Pen Holder/organizer

I made this product for my father because he continuously lost his glasses and pens. This is so he can keep track of them more efficiently.

To design this product, I used tinker cad. To start I put a rectangle and a half circle on the build plate then used the negative function to delete portions until I had a box with negative space inside of it. I then merged these items together and added a star on the front for decoration.

To make the test product I used cardboard and hot glue to build a model. I cut the cardboard to size and then glue the pieces together to make a sturdy model.

One of the things I fixed during refining and editing was I made the compartment for glasses more circular as well in changing the star out for a heart. This made it so that the glasses would better fit in the design looked better overall as well as adding a structure.

The final product was made with gold PLA filament using a Prusa 3D printer. First i loaded the design onto a SD card, then I loaded the filament into the printer. Press start and wait for your print to be done(this will vary depending on how large you make it) !
