Funny Dog Garden Statue (Add Some Character to Your Garden)
The Story Behind The Statue:
I enjoy many things such as gardening, 3D printing, and making people laugh. I'm sure you can see where this is going. My mom recently adopted a new dog which I promptly named "Tortilla". The name stuck and, quite honestly, fits her personality perfectly. So, of course, I decided to make a statue of Tortilla for my mom's garden. But not just any statue, this statue had to make people laugh. And thus, the pooping dog statue was born. Granted, at first my mom hated it and my dogs shared the same hatred and protested by chewing it up. However, I wasn't about to give up so easily. I reprinted the statue, and it has sat proudly in my mom's flower pot for over a year. My mom has admitted that she likes the statue and it reminds her of me whenever she sees it.
Where to find print files:

Supplies
The supplies for this awesome project are minimal
- Garden or flower pot (The statue belongs in a garden, it would make a beautiful addition to any family or friend's outdoor space.)
- PLA, PETG, or TPU Filament for 3D Printing
- 3D Printer
How to Design the Statue
Finding the Right Image
I am not a good 3D artist. So, I found the easiest way to create this statue was to:
- Find the appropriate 2d image I could import to Fusion360 and trace using the tools in the "Sketch" environment.
- Then I extruded the sketch into the desired final thickness
- Then I Modeled a separate "spike" and attached it to the statue
The Final Model
Your model should look similar to this one. If you want, you can download my model directly through the viewer.
Printing the Model
This model is easy to print:
- Upload the model to your preferred slicer
- Add minimal support for the two interface features between the statue and the spike
- Click "Print Model" and you're done. It's that easy

Order of Events:
Since this statue may be a bit controversial you must be strategic in the placement of the statue. Here's the order of events:
- Make sure your family or friends are distracted with something else.
- Sneak into the garden or flower bed, and find the final resting place of this statue
- Insert it into the soil and calmly walk away
And there you go. You have just created a beautiful addition to your family's or friend's garden. They will thank you later.
