In this tutorial, I will be showing how to make some fun bookmarks with normal everyday things that you most likely have sitting around! Of course, not everybody is going to have the same little pictures to use for their bookmark. For that reason, this is going to pretty much be me showing you the technique I use to make book marks. Let's get started! :D

Materials...

For this craft, you are going to need the following items:

-Packing Tape

-A Clipboard

-Scissors

-And a bunch of little pictures or clippings from book covers, candy wrappers, scrap book paper, or anything else you can think of!

-(Optional) Ribbon

-(Optional) Hole Puncher

Start With a Piece of Tape

Tear off a piece of packing tape that is as long as you want your bookmark to be. Lay it on the clip board with the sticky side up and clip it so that it will stay in place. I couldn't really take a picture of this step because the tape is clear, therefore I am hoping that my instructions are good enough for you to follow without a photo.

Creating and Sealing

Now you get to start sticking all your little clippings onto the tape! Get as creative as you like!

After you have put all the clippings on that you want, it is time to seal it with a second piece of tape. Tear a piece off that is as close to the length of the first one as possible. (Don't freak out if it is a little to long. We'll be trimming the edges anyway.) Lay the piece of tape ,with the sticky side down, directly on top of the first piece. Smooth it out. This takes a good bit of practice. Now you should have your clippings sandwiched between two pieces of tape. (photo)

Trimming

Take your scissors and trim the edges of your bookmark. I like to give mine rounded corners!

Ribbon (optional)

If you would like, punch a hole in the top of your bookmark and attach a ribbon!
