From 2d to 3d - How to Make Your Beads Stand
This instructable will show you how to make a semi 3d shark and rocket with hama beads.
It is a part of a series of instructables that aim to help explain how you can use beads to prepare kids for learning how to work with 3d-printing.
Supplies
Hama Beads
Glue
Baking paper
Tools:
Iron
Large hama beads plate
Make Your Design
First step is to make your 2D figures on the bead plate. Here I have made a rocket.
Then heat up your iron and put a piece of baking paper on top of your figure. Then carefully heat it up, so the beads melt together. Don't use to much heat and no steam iron!
When all the beads have melted together you can take the beads of the plate and turn them around. Put baking paper on the new side and also heat that one up.
Make a Foot
Then make a foot. Good beads for this is see-through, black, white or the colour of your design. I have used see through beads here.
Glue It Together
Now glue the foots on to your design and that is it. You now have a standing hama bead model.
