Sketch

Start out by copying the sketch shown. You can change whatever you would like. I find that 0.4mm gap is the best for me. You can change the height of the ring from 8mm to your preferred height.

Ring Size

You can change the size of the ring by creating a construction line HALF OF however many mm you need for a ring to fit your finger.

Revolving

You can then use the revolve tool and select the two bodies created, and use the construction line as a revolve axis.

Section Analysis

Then use the section analysis tool to show the inside of the ring.

Fillet/Rounding

Round the 8 inner edges of the ring by using the fillet tool. I used 0.5mm.

Fillet/Rounding Outer Edges

Fillet these edges by your preferred amount. I found that 0.5mm works the best.

Final Product

You can turn off section analysis and you have your ring! If you have a MakerBot 3D Printer, I find that 0.2mm layer height works best without a raft. You may have to break up the two parts a little bit depending on how precise your printer is. It should work regardless though.

Customize

Feel free to customize it by adding your own text by using the "emboss" feature, or adding ridges to the ring for an easier grip. You can also play with the "fillet" amount to see how round you want it. I used the word "Calm" on mine.
