When baking time is over, take the cupcakes out of the oven and let them cool completely on a cooling rack.
While the cupcakes continue to cool, this would be a good time to clean up the mess that was made in the kitchen. Obviously, this step is optional.
When your cupcakes are ready for icing, use a small spatula to spread the icing onto the cupcake. Make sure each cupcake is liberally coated with icing. If you would like to add a festive touch to your cupcake, simply add a small christmas candy cane to the top of each cupcake.
Enjoy your delicious cupcakes!
