F-22 Raptor Out of Popsicle Sticks

This is a F-22 Raptor made with Popsicle sticks. This is a great thing to put on display, show off to your friends, or add to your collection if you have one.

First step is to cut out the main fuselage from the template(pic.1,2). Trace that template onto the popsicle stick and cut out two of them. Then cut off the cockpit from the template and trace and cut out two of those on the popsicle stick(pic.3). Glue them all together(pic.4) then sand the cockpit and sand the front to a point(pic.5,6). Cut out the template piece seen in pic.8(the air intakes pic.7) from the main fuselage template and trace and cut out six of those. Glue three on each side(pic.9). Cut out the bottom template seen in pic.10 and trace it onto the bottom of the fuselage then sand it down to the lines(pic.11,12). Sand the side air intakes pieces at an angle as seen in pic.13,14,15. Also sand a groove in the back about half way down the center(pic.16,17) and sand the top of the air intakes flat(pic.17) so you kind of have two humps going down the center of the plane(I would recommend looking at reference pictures of the real thing on google).

First step is to cut out the back wings(pic.1,2). Then the front wings(pic.3, I forgot to take a picture of the front wings before I glued them on but if you need to see them look at pic.6). Sand all the wings into an airfoil shape(pic.4, the wings are kind of "odd" shaped but it will still work). Glue the front wings on about 1cm from the front edge of the air intakes(pic.5,6). Then glue the back wings right behind the front(pic.7). Glue the wings at a slight downwards angle(pic.8).

Cut out the tails(pic.1) and sand them into an airfoil(pic.2). Glue them about 1.2cm from the back edge(pic.3,4) and at an angle(pic.6, I didn't take a picture of them before I painted them[again]).

Cut out two circles, from 0.5mm non corrugated cardboard, about 5cm in diameter(pic.1) and make the edges flush. Then make a hole in the center for the wire(pic.2) and paint the base black(pic.3). Bend the wire as seen in pic.4.(It's almost 2in. tall when bent). Last step is to super glue it in the center and make sure it's straight up and down(pic.5).

Paint the hole thing gray(pic.1), and paint the cockpit and front of the air intakes black(pic.2,3). The final step is to drill a hole in the center big enough for the wire to fit through(make sure it is snug enough so the plane won't fall off)(pic.4).
