Easiest Red Velvet Cookie Recipe

This is a super easy recipe for red velvet cookies, you’ll need things that you probably already have at home. The cookies are chewy and delicious and you can add the kind of chocolate you want (just make sure you can bake it)

Ingredients

You will have about 16 medium sized cookies.

  • Red velvet cake mix
  • 70 g of unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g of chocolate

Info: For the chocolate you can pretty much take whatever you want. It doesn't have to be white chocolate

Supplies

  • Baking tray (you can use wax paper or butter and all purpose flour)
  • Silicone spatula
  • Mixing bowl

Melt the Butter and Mix It With the Red Velvet Cake Mix and the Eggs.

You will use the silicone spatula to mix the dough until fully incorporated.

Chop the Chocolate

Chop the chocolate into chunks and divide it in two parts, one will be for the mixture and the other one for decoration.

Add the Chocolate

Add one part of the chocolate chunks you chopped before.

Shape the Dough and Decorate

Shape the dough into medium sized balls and place it in a chopping board, then place the chocolate you saved before on top of the dough balls.

Baking

Line the baking tray with wax paper (or you can use butter and all purpose flour instead) and then place the cookies with a decent amount of distance. Bake for 20 minutes at 356 °F.

Info: You can preheat the oven 10 minutes prior to baking.

Cooling

Take the cookies out of the baking tray and set it aside to cool for 15-20 minutes at least.
