Duct Tape Tote Bag
Hey, in this tutorial I will be showing you how to make this summery tote bag! BTW this took me an hour and a half so set aside a little chunk of time.
Materials
- 5 Pieces Of Construction Paper
- Scissors
- Duct Tape
- Tape Measure
Cut
Cut two of your pieces of paper so they are both 9*9 inches.
Accent
Now take all of your papers and put one strip on the top of each one.
Colorful
Now under your accent Put a solid color. Repeat on the back. Keep doing this until you ave covered 4/5 sheets. Now with your fifth sheet, do a different design because this is the bottom of your bag.
Assembly #1
Now take your bottom sheet and lay it next to another one on the side (square sheet) and tape it on so its connected. Now repeat with all of the rest of the sheets making sure that the 2 square sheets are across and NOT diagonal from each other.
Assembly #2
Now take 2 of your sides and tape them together (inside first and outside second) to create a corner. Repeat this with all of your panels.
Straps
Measure out two 30 inch strips of your main color of duct tape. Now put one on top of the other to create a strap. P.S. you can add any designs you want on the strap.
Assembly #3
Now tape your strap to the inside of the tote bag on both sides, if you are worried about the durability of the strap add another piece of tape to ensure that it wont fall off.
TA-DA
Woah, that looks so cool! I bet that your friends and family won't believe that you made that. I hope that you enjoyed this instructable! Bye!
