I have created paper calendars for a while that get thrown away after that month. This is an easy way to make a reusable dry erase calendar. It takes around 1.5 hours for this four step process. Have fun!

Materials needed:

  • Colored duct tape
  • Washable duct tape
  • 1/8 inch tape
  • Cardboard
  • Dry erase markers
  • Scissors

Put Dry Erase Tape on Cardboard

Start with the cardboard and cover one side with dry erase tape. Line the tape up as close as you can so it doesn't overlap and doesn't show the cardboard between, but leave a small bit of cardboard showing on the four sides of the board.

Outline the Board

Use the colored duct tape to outline the calendar board. Put half the duct tape on the edge with half of it off the board and wrap the extra around the edges.

Making the Grid

Use the thin tape to make a grid for your days of the month. Remember to leave room at the top for the month and week days. The grid under those should be seven by six. You can leave room below the grid for any notes.

Fill It In

You are now ready to fill in your calendar! You can use it for school/work, birthdays, special events, and holidays!

Congratulations! You completed your duct tape calendar!
