Dorm Room Chicken Teriyaki

This is a very simple and quick way to make Chicken Teriyaki with minimal effort. This base recipe can be changed to your liking and preferences.

Supplies

The materials needed are:

x1 Chicken tender

Teriyaki sauce

Soy sauce

Ginger paste

Minced Garlic

Onion powder

Sesame seeds

Microwaveable Rice

Plastic bag

Butter

x1 medium-sized pan

Prep the Chicken

The first thing that needs to be done is prepping your chicken strip. Firstly wash your chicken strip under cold water and peel off any remaining skin left on it. After sufficiently washed, pierce your chicken on both sides with a fork creating tiny holes for the marinade to seep into.

The Marinade

This is a very crucial but simple step. This step also has the most amount of change and can be done to your liking. Take your washed chicken and place it into a plastic bag, pour in teriyaki and soy sauces until the chicken is fully covered by it. Use as much ginger paste, minced garlic, and onion powder as you would like. Close the bag and shake up all the ingredients, once everything is thoroughly mixed up place the bag in the fridge. This is very crucial leave the bag in the fridge for at least an hour, the longer the better. This will allow your chicken to absorb all the good flavors.

Getting the Pan Ready

Place 1 tbs of butter in your pan and heat it up to medium heat. to know when the an is hot enough flick some water onto it, if you hear sizzling its ready for the chcken

Cooking the Chicken

Take your chicken out of the bag and place it in the pan and cook for three minutes on either side. Make sure you have the overtop vent on or a window open to help clear out any smoke. After the chicken is fully cooked, rest on a plate and then shred or cut it up to your liking. While chicken is resting microwave your rice to the specified instructions on the container.

Plating

Once the rice and chicken are combined in a bowl pour on some more teriyaki sauce over top and sprinkle sesame over top to your liking and enjoy!
