Dice Sorter

DSC_8415.JPG

I designed this object for a role playing game system of my own. This set of rules is working with dices owned by players. They have to bet some dices without knowing the results. This device allow them to throw their dices in their column for the game master to see the results and secretly sort winning and loosing dices.

Supplies

I used 3mm birch plywood with a laser cutter.

Some angled panels are helping dices to bounce away.

Mobile panels can be added on each side with the name of characters to identify each column. This sorter is good for a 5 players table.

Pieces are designed with symmetry in mind so it is easier to build.

Construction

Construction is straight forward. I had some difficulties because my 3mm plywood was in fact 3,3mm. I sanded the pieces to be able to fit them into slots.

Angled panels are not slotted into the other parts since the design is already strong enough.
