This is a Decorative M to match with a first or last name. It stands up straight without support. It is easy to make if you have the equipment to do it.

Supplies

T.I.G. Welder (tungsten inert gas Welder)

Argon

14" Cold Saw

ER70S-6, 1/16" filter rod

Cordless Grinder 80 grit sanding disc and wire brush wheel

5' Hammered edge Rod Iron

Cut Rod Iron

Use the 14" cold saw to cut 4 (45 degrees) of the rod iron. Each piece should be 1 foot long.

Position Pieces

Place your pieces how you want them the tac weld the pieces together so they do not move while you are welding.

Weld Together

Once you have tacked it together you can start welding. For the sides, I fusion welded the pieces together but for the valley, I needed to add the filter rod in for extra metal. For the sides, I did the small circles method and for the peaks and valleys, I did the back and forth method. The Welds will not come out very well because of the cheap metal.

Clean Welds

Use the cordless grinder but with a wire brush wheel and go over the welds and clean.
