DIY Wrist Roller
Let's make a wrist strap, shall we?
This design is simple and allows the user to change the load easily.
Materials and Tools
For this piece of equipment you will need :
- a cylindrical piece of wood (5 cm diameter)
- a fastening strap (2.5 meters x 2 cm)
- velcro tape
- a wood saw
- a wood varnish
- a paint brush
- a needle
- some thread
- scissors
- a weight disk as a load
- glue
- measuring tape
Prepare the Wooden Handle
Measure with your measuring tape a piece of wood approximately 40 cm long.
Cut this piece with the wood saw. This will be the handle of the device.
Paint it with the varnish of your choice using the paint brush. I painted it with a clear varnish.
Glue a Velcro Strip to the Wood
Encircle the piece of wood with a strip of velcro tape and glue it on. Which side it doesn't matter for now.
Prepare the Fastening Strap
Measure another piece of velcro tape. It will be as long as needed to encircle the velcro tape strip used in the previous step. Cut in length with scissors.
Now take caution to expose the correct side of the velcro tape. This will be the opposite side from that exposed previously. These pieces of velcro need to lock together.
Use the needle and the thread and fasten the strip of velcro tape at the end of the fastening strap.
Loop the Strap
Loop the fastening strap around the middle hole of the weight disk.
Finished!
Assemble the device as shown in the above pictures.
Now make those forearms burn!
