DIY Summer Watermelon Hat
I love summer time because of all the fun things you do. From swimming in your pool to going to the beach! When your outdoors, it's nice to have a hat on. I love watermelon, so I decided to make it into a hat. This is a simple yet very cute hat! You can make it with things around your home. It does not take a long time to make.
What You Will Need
This DIY is very simple, so you do not need many supplies.
You will need-
- A green hat (You can paint your hat green, or find a green hat around your house.)
- Pink or red fabric
- Card stock paper that's black
- Pink ribbon
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Cutting Out a Circle
Use your pink fabric and cut out a big circle for the hat. It does not matter if it is too big. You can measure it out if you want, but I just estimated how big I thought it was.
Drawing/Cutting Out Hearts
Find a piece of black card stock and draw a lot of hearts. Draw as many as you need to fill up your piece of fabric. Cut them all out.
Hot Glue the Hearts
Once you are done cutting out your hearts, you can start hot gluing them to your fabric. Do not hot glue them too close to the edges though. Hot glue the hearts facing out because it will look better on the hat.
Fold in the Edges
To make the edge of the hat easier to deal with, hot glue the edges to the back of the fabric.
Putting Your Fabric on Hat/Adding Your Ribbon
Put your fabric on your hat, and form it to the shape of the hat. Measure out some ribbon and tie it into a bow. Your creation is complete.
