DIY Pop Rock Soda

IMG_0506.JPG

This is a fun and simple experiment that kids will love it doesn't take anymore than 10 minutes and has a really tasty result! I figured this out when I was looking for an experiment to do with pop rocks, I made two batches (this was the second) to save this you simply have to store it in a fridge, like any soda.

Let's begin!

Ingredients/tools

  • sieve
  • pop rocks
  • small bowl
  • spoon
  • water

Prep

To get ready all you need to do is pour some water in a glass and open the pop rocks, do not pour in the pop rocks right away. Before you put the pop rocks in make sure the water is completely still, not splashy and jumbled. put the sieve in the water and make sure it is propped up on the side of the bowl, if the sieve does not fit you must get a bigger bowl (or a smaller sieve if possible)

Pop Rocks!

Slowly pour in the pop rocks,(if you pour them in to quickly they will pop everywhere and make a mess)

Then take a spoon and mix well. Still the pop rocks for about 30 seconds ,Then mix again and this time mix them until they are completely popped.

All Finished!

After all the pop rocks are disintegrated then you can take the sieve out of the bowl and pour the mixture either in a glass or just drink it with a spoon, for a larger serving just add more water and more pop rocks you can do as many bags as you would like just make sure that if you add more pop rocks you add more water too!
