DIY Kinetic Art Water Wheel
I always love to craft and give shapes to build DIY structures. So thinking about the kinetic art I made a waterfall fountain. It's a fun project to make. I made it for my balcony garden.
So in this instructable, I will try to summarize you how I made this Kinetic Water Wheel.
Materials I needed to make this fountain:
- Plastic tray
- Foam Board
- Polystyrene
- Wooden Sticks
- Fidget Spinner
- Plastic pipe
- Aluminium sticks
- 3V-12V Motor
- 3V-12V Submersible Pump
- 5V Adapter
- Hot Glue
- Soldering Iron
- Cutter
The Wheel
Two structure that I need to make one is the wheel and a house with wind blades.
So to build these structures take a foam board.
To make the wheel cut the pcs of foam board and attach the pcs with hot glue as shown in the images.
Wheel Stand
Now I need to make a stand for the wheel
And to make sure the wheel moves smoothly, so I took two fidget spinner
And stick a pc of foam board with the spinners.
Then attached the spinner with the wheel as shown in the imgs.

Now let cut some pcs of foam board to make the house.
Attach the pcs as shown in the imgs.
Stick a 3V-12V motor with hot glue
Make a fan blade with the foam board and the wooden sticks.
Then connect the fan blade with the motor as shown in the imgs.
Take a 3V-12V submersible pump and join a plastic pipe with it.
Connect the pump and the motor together and connect them with a 5V adaptor.
Final Assembling
Take a plastic tray as a water chamber.
Stick the wheel and the house on the tray.
To hold the pipe strong on the house, I attached an aluminum stick with it.
Then I made a human structure with the foam board and stick it with the spinner as shown in the imgs.
And also I made a drum with the polystyrene and a stick as shown in the imgs.
So the human's hand will rotate with the wheel and will hit the drum stick.
Finishing...
So the fountain is ready
All I need to make it look beautiful, let's colour them.
Now fill the tray with water.
Plug in the adapter and enjoy the fountain...
Hope you enjoyed it... then don't forget to hit a like.
