Cut Panels

Use the fabric scissors to cut panels where you plan to add the sheer fabric. I chose to cut four panels from the front of the jacket, and the top panel plus bottom middle panels on the back. Then flip the jacket inside out.

Cut Fabric Pieces

Place the fabric "pretty side" down and cut pieces that are about 1-2 inches larger than the open panels on the jacket. This will ensure that you have enough extra material for the stitch witchery later on.

Attach Fabric Pieces

Carefully tear off pieces of stitch witchery to match the lengths of the sides of each fabric piece. Place the stitch witchery strips between the denim and the sheer fabric around the edges. Place a piece of scrap fabric on top to act as a barrier so the stitch witchery doesn't stick to the iron.

Then iron over the fabric. The heat from the iron will melt the stitch witchery, allowing it to bond with the denim and the sheer fabric to keep everything in place.

Repeat With All Pieces

Repeat this process to attach all sheer fabric pieces to the jacket.

Trim Excess Fabric

Once the pieces are attached, trim excess fabric around the edges to make everything nice and neat.

All Done!

That's it! A few simple steps and your jacket is completely transformed into a piece that would easily cost a pretty penny in any high end boutique (and you didn't even need your sewing machine). Thanks for checking out this tutorial!
