DIY Bath Bomb With Lemon Juice

Be the bomb with these easy DIY bath bombs with Lemon Juice! Most bath bombs call for citric acid but this recipe doesn't. Citric acid was hard to find in stores, also. These are fun easy DIY bath bombs that you and your friends can enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/8 cup lemon juice
  • 3-4 tsp. coconut oil
  • 1-2 tsp. water
  • 1 tsp. essential oil
  • Few drops food coloring (optional)

Tools
Whisk
Bowl Bath Bomb Mold (found at craft stores, Hobby Lobby, etc)

Mix Dry Ingredients

Combine the dry ingredients baking soda and corn starch. Stir with a whisk.

Mix in Wet Ingredients

Add coconut oil, essential oil and food coloring (if using). Stir the ingredients until they are thoroughly combined.

Add Water

When you start to add water, do it slowly and only as needed. Stir vigorously to reduce fizzing while adding water.

Put in Molds

When the mixture is wet enough to stick together in clumps, press mixture firmly into molds until molds are filled. If using two pieces, squick together until they are firmly compacted.

Let Mold Sit

Let the mixture sit in the molds for five minutes, then carefully remove bath bombs from the molds.

Lay bath bombs on parchment paper or a towel and let them dry for 24 hours.
