DIY Bath Bomb With Lemon Juice
Be the bomb with these easy DIY bath bombs with Lemon Juice! Most bath bombs call for citric acid but this recipe doesn't. Citric acid was hard to find in stores, also. These are fun easy DIY bath bombs that you and your friends can enjoy!!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1/8 cup lemon juice
- 3-4 tsp. coconut oil
- 1-2 tsp. water
- 1 tsp. essential oil
- Few drops food coloring (optional)
Tools
Whisk
Bowl Bath Bomb Mold (found at craft stores, Hobby Lobby, etc)
Bowl
Mix Dry Ingredients
Combine the dry ingredients baking soda and corn starch. Stir with a whisk.
Mix in Wet Ingredients
Add coconut oil, essential oil and food coloring (if using). Stir the ingredients until they are thoroughly combined.
Add Water
When you start to add water, do it slowly and only as needed. Stir vigorously to reduce fizzing while adding water.
Put in Molds
When the mixture is wet enough to stick together in clumps, press mixture firmly into molds until molds are filled. If using two pieces, squick together until they are firmly compacted.
Let Mold Sit
Let the mixture sit in the molds for five minutes, then carefully remove bath bombs from the molds.
Final
Lay bath bombs on parchment paper or a towel and let them dry for 24 hours.
