DIY 3D Eiffel Tower
Nostalgia, Memories & Joy!
Visiting Paris has always been my dream since I was a child. Looking at the beautiful Eiffel Tower images all over my Pinterest feed, created fantasies and illusions of walking on the sidewalk near the green trees and observing the beauty of the tall and spectacular monument. What better way than to recreate this desire by building this tower? Having it close to me will bring joy and inspiration to my daily life and motivate me to one day step into the beautiful landscape of Paris and admire the glorious view.
I also thought about the amazing way that this tower can symbolize memories for those that have been to Paris. By building this tower and having it as a room decoration it will generate a feeling of nostalgia and hopefully bring happiness to people that have visited and experienced the magic that the Eiffel Tower releases.

Supplies
- Wooden Sticks → the size does not matter since we will cut them later
- Block of wood →help round the edges of the wood that gets cut
- Pencil →mark the place in the stick where it will get cut
- Eraser →just in case you need to erase the pencil marks
- Needle nose pliers→ this will facilitate the cutting of the wooden sticks
- Silicon glue that dries fast →this will paste the wooden sticks
- Exacto knife →this can also help cut the wooden sticks and un-paste the sticks from the paper guide
- Model of the Eiffel Tower →this will help guide the structure of the sticks (I recommend printing 2)
- Acrylic paint for wood →this will brighten up the tower as a whole
- Wire → this will hold the eiffel tower together by making it tie together strong and tight
Align the Wooden Sticks
Align the wooden sticks to the lines in the model
Measurements
Mark the measurements of where you should cut the stick
Cutting Wooden Sticks
Use the needle nose pliers to cut the sticks where the pencil mark was made
Pasting
Align the sticks to the lined model and use the glue to paste them
Tip: You can use a small piece of a wooden stick in order to apply the glue to the product easier and in specific parts, to avoid making a mess.
Repeat!
Follow steps 2-4 for all the structures of the Eiffel Tower
Let It Dry
Let the shapes dry for 10- 20 minutes and carefully take off the shapes from the paper when they are dried.
Tip: Do this very slowly so that the paper nor the sticks break.
(I did the bottom part 1 inch bigger than what the model shows in order to make the proportions more realistic. This is also preference).
Details and Connection
-Add details to the inside of some of the shapes (no specific way to place them, use your creativity and what you best prefer!)
-Add sticks to connect the shapes
-Let the Eiffel Tower dry overall
Repeat!
-Repeat steps 2-8 until you have 4 models of the Eiffel Tower
Painting
-Paint the completed 4 models (color of your choice!)
-Paint the front and back and do not touch them until they are dried
Make It 3D!
-Once everything is dried, connect the pieces of the 4 models
-Do this with the help of wires and then use the glue to paste them even more
-Do not forget to let it dry at the end
Tip: When letting it dry I recommend you to use objects that hold the Eiffel tower together in the appropriate position. This will allow it to dry correctly without it losing its shape.
Enjoy! :)
Last but not least…… enjoy the amazing Eiffel Tower you have created!
Show it off to your friends and family so they can get inspired to build one as well :)
