Customized Operation Game
Doctor, Adabot requires your assistance! An operation is in order. The task at hand involves delicately removing game pieces, requiring a steady hand.
You can create this timeless and enjoyable game by utilizing a Circuit Playground Express. This device will detect any slight movement or accidental bump made by your tweezers on the edge of an opening. After constructing the game board, you will need to program the Circuit Playground Express using either CircuitPython or MakeCode to examine the capacitive touch pads for any contact.
Supplies
6 Alligator Clips
Cardboard
Tin Foil (or Copper Tape)
Marker (or a print of your customized person)
Tape
Glue
Buttons
Tweezers
Battery Holder
USB Cable
Build the Table
Draw up a rough draft of what you'll create with the cardboard on paper, so you know what cords need to go well.
Draw in pencil the plan on cardboard
Cut holes to button size
Draw in marker your person (or glue image onto cardboard)
Glue tinfoil (or copper tape) to the edges of all holes
Make sure to leave flaps of tinfoil/copper so the alligator clips can attach
Attach the Clips
Plan out which clip will go where
Attach the clips to their respective area
It might be difficult to get the current strong enough so play around with it
What worked the best for me was to fold over the tinfoil and attach the alligator clip to the side of the hole (as seen in the photo)
Code & Add Circuit Playground
Create an Account with Adafruit and use their free software to create code for your circuit board
Download the code and upload it (using your special USB cable) to the circuit board
Attach batteries to the circuit board and attach it to each alligator clip
Turn on the circuit board
Test it out!
Let's Play Operation
Place the buttons in the pouches surrounded by tinfoil (or copper tape)
Use your tweezers to pick up the buttons
PLAY OPERATION!
