Cupcake Cake.

This is something I have been wanting to do for a while now and I decided to do this as my instructable school project. It is not too hard. It's pretty fun to film while cutting the cake.

Supplies

-Cake mix

-ingredients to go in cake mix (eggs, oil, water, milk, etc:)

-Non-stick pan spray

-Mixing bowls and tools

-Cake pans/Cupcake pan

-1/2 cup of butter

-1 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar

-3 to 4 tbsp of cocoa powder

-1 tsp of vanilla extract

-1 tbsp of milk

-Any other optional decorations for cake or cupcake

Multiply icing ingredients as needed for larger cakes

Make the Cake

Preheat oven to 350° F

Mix together cake mix with whatever other ingredients go in with it. (Eggs, Milk, Oil, Water, ect:)

Get a cupcake pan for normal sized cupcakes. Preferably one with not very many sections for cupcakes.

fill one of the cupcake sections with batter.

Put cake batter in circular pans. Be careful not to add to much!

Bake for about 25 minutes, but times vary for the size of cake pans. cupcake for 12 minutes.

Take out cakes when toothpicks dipped in cake come out clean.

Icing

Take cakes out of oven when finished, then put the cakes all in a fridge to cool.

While cakes are cooling, make icing using butter, confectioners sugar, cocoa, vanilla extract, and milk.

Chill icing. But not for too long.

Assemble the cakes leaving the cupcake of to the side. Do not ice the sides or top yet. Chill cake.

While cake is chilling, ice and decorate cupcake however you want.

Finally....

Cut a big whole in the bottom of your cake, just big enough for your cupcake to fit inside it.

Discard, eat, or save scraps of cake.

Put on tray or plate you intent to serve it on, and ice and decorate your cake.

Whenever serving it, cut it open slowly to uncover cover the cupcake hidden in your Cupcake cake!
