Cupcake Birdfeeder

File_007.jpeg

This is a cool, fun, and very simple project for people of all ages who wants an easy project or just to attract birds.

Supplies

All the cupcake will need is shortening, peanut butter, cornmeal or bread crumbs, cupcake paper, and some sort of string or rope to hang the cupcake on. I used dental floss.

Making the Cupcake "batter"

For this you will need a mixing bowl, spatula, pan. You will need to put a few spoonfuls of lard and peanut butter into separate pans and melt on low heat.

Mix Up

Once you have melted your peanut butter and lard. Add 2 cups of bird seed and one cup of straight oatmeal into a bowl. Add your peanut butter and lard as well. Its time to start mixing and a small spatula or fork would work best.

Put Into Cupcake Paper.

Put separate scoops of your "batter" into its own cupcake paper. (It does not have to be cupcake shaped I just found it convenient.)

Refrigerate

Put your cupcakes into the fridge for about 20-30 minutes.

Once you are done refrigerating your cupcake it is time to hang it. I used dental floss and it worked great, i put tape on the bottom and tied up the floss at the hanger.
