Today, I present a new Instructable colorful theme on Rainbow.

I love colors and this challenge inspired me so much. I will therefore present to you a Jewelry Set made with the colors of the Rainbow. I chose to honor this theme with a modernization of colors and according to my idea of the rainbow. That is to say, the result of the reflection of light through a drop of water.

So I chose to use a large fuchsia Crystal to represent the clarity and shine of light through a drop.

I teach you how to embroider Soutache Fibers to make a Crystal Rainbow Set Jewelry. A very precise technique which consists in using trimmings to embellish precious or semi-precious materials to create fabulous jewels. It was once used to decorate military jackets.

The Colors

IMG_20210531_131837.jpg

Choose 13 different colors of soutache cords to make these jewels.

To obtain a real gradient, a little flaming, modern and luminous around the very limpid crystal.
And collect the rest of the material stated before.

The Central Crystal

IMG_20210527_135947.jpg

Take 4 colors to embroider around the big Crystal. (pink, fuchsia, lurex fuchsia & lurex purple)

Pass the needle with the nylon thread on either side of the soutache cords. Go around the crystal giving them the rounded shape.

Fix the Crystal

IMG_20210527_140813.jpg
IMG_20210527_141532.jpg

Put a light layer of multipurpose glue on the edge of the crystal, then glue the soutache cords. The glue is dry after about 1 minute.

Join the strings with a small pink seed bead. It fixes the whole and allows to hide the hole above the crystal.

Attach the Small Beads

IMG_20210527_141820.jpg
IMG_20210527_141957.jpg

Fold the 2 ends by sewing 1 small green bead on each side.

The Finish Behind

IMG_20210527_143321.jpg

Then fold all the soutache cords behind the crystal. Then take the measurement so that the wires meet in the middle, one against the other. Place a drop of glue at the point of the cut. This is to prevent the soutache cord from unraveling.

Finally, when the glue is dry, after 1 minute. Unite them by ironing with the needle and the nylon inside to join them.

Sew a Series of Small Seed Beads

Add a second row of soutache cords (green and turquoise). Sew them all along the previous ones, keeping a very round shape.
Then add a small blue pearl on each side, and finally cast off.
