Crystal Ball
I made a crystal ball. I decided to make this because I have always wanted one, so I decided to make my own.
Supplies
Two wood squares, cotton balls, glass globe light cover, led lights, hot glue, cardboard tube, acrylic paint
The Base
To start, cut two square pieces of wood with a wood saw to the size of your liking. Make sure one is slightly bigger than the other. Then, saw a circle the size of the base of your light cover in the smaller piece. Then cut a slit in the smaller piece coming off the circle for the wires. Next use wood glue to glue the smaller piece to the bigger piece, make sure it is centered. Finally, after that dries paint the base whatever color you'd like. I chose to paint it black.
Lights
Get the cardboard tube and tightly wrap the LED lights around it. Make sure it fits inside your light cover.
Inside the Ball
First, get out a hot glue gun and plug it in and let it heat up. While waiting on that to heat up, unravel about 20 cotton balls. Once the hot glue gun is ready, put some hot glue in a small area inside the light cover and then place an unraveled cotton ball on it. Repeat until the whole light cover is filled. Start from the bottom and work your way up. Finally, put the led lights inside, with the wires coming out of the bottom.
Assembly
Time to put it all together! All that is left is to put the light cover in the circle on the base. Make sure the wire sits in the little groove you created, and connect the battery pack.
