Today we will be experimenting with filters on Pixlr.com to create circular landscapes.

This is not a very complicated technique, but it does have a few steps which you need to follow to ensure the best possible results.

If you do not have your own landscapes, you can use a website like Pexels.com to search for stock landscape images to experiment with.

If you struggle to follow the guide, please have a look at this video to support your own experimentation.

Good luck and for similar instructables, be sure to have a look at my profile and YouTube Page: Mr Art and Photography!

Step 1: Open Your Landscape Image on Pixlr.com

Either using your own image, or one found from online, go to Pixlr.com and open your image.

Step 2: Turning the Image Into a Square

Firstly, Go to Image -> Image size and make sure 'Constrain Proportions' is not checked.

Secondly, Match the lowest number value. In the example I change the width to '1500' to match the height.

This will change your image into a square image shape.

Step 3: Rotate the Image

Go to Edit -> Free Transform and turn the image upside down.

OR

Go to Image -> Rotate Canvas 180 and turn the image upside down.

Tip: If you hold shift whilst rotating the image using Free Transform it will move the image in increments, making it easier to turn the image upside down.

Step 4: Apply the Filter

Go to Filter -> Polar Coordinates to complete the image manipulation.

When prompted you can experiment with the transformation. To achieve a similar effect to my examples I have used React to Polar from the drop down selection.

Good luck with your own digital manipulations!
