Cooling Sore Muscle Butter
I made a Cooling Muscle Butter because I am an athlete and I thought it would be useful for me. I followed the instructions given to me and ended up with a yummy smelling cooling butter.
Supplies
You'll need coconut oil, shea butter, peppermint and tea tree essential oil, a microwave safe container or bowl, a hand mixer, either a lid for the container or plastic wrap, access to a microwave and a freezer, a spoon, and a glass jar.
First, you start by getting 1/2 a cup of coconut oil. You will put the oil into your container.
Next, you will get 1/2 a cup of shea butter and add that into the container as well.
After adding both ingredients to the container, you will put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. When the timer goes off, take it out and stir and put it back in for 10 second intervals until the mixture is mostly liquified.
Next, you will stir until the mixture is clear but not cloudy.
After mixture is clear, put the lid or plastic wrap on the container and put it in the freezer for approximately an hour. This step should not take more than an hour.
Once the mixture is the texture of softened butter, take it out the freezer and add 10 drops of both peppermint and tea tree essential oil. Mix this with a hand mixer until the consistency of your liking.
After you have the mixture at the texture of your liking, you will put it in a glass jar. This is your final product so now you are done!!!
