Cooking a Burger, the Easy Way

Have your friends and family made fun of you for not being able to cook? Well here is a way to cook a burger that is so simple, a college student can do it!

Supplies

  • Frozen or fresh hamburger patty
  • Cooking oil (olive oil)
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc. (seasoning of your choice)
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, etc. (toppings of your choice)
  • Ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, etc. (Sauces of your choice)
  • Hamburger bun
  • Cast iron skillet
  • Spatula

Preparation

Preheat the cast iron skillet to medium low heat and add oil

Veggies

Cut up any veggies or other toppings you want

Seasoning

Add whatever seasonings you want to one side of the patty

Place the patty on the preheated skillet seasoned side down. Season the other side and let cook for around 7 minutes, or until the juices start coming out of the top.

Let the burger cook for another 5 minutes. Make sure the inside of the patty reaches 160 degrees F or that the inside has reached desired color.

Additional Cooking

Add precooked bacon on the skillet and cheese on the patty if desired

Add all ingredients on a hamburger bun and enjoy!
