Cookie Cheomseongdae(ancient Korean Star Observatory)
the cheomseongdae is an ancient korean star observatory build around 632∼647 and also the oldest observatory in the world. built with science and sturdy materials, it still holds the same detail around all those years, and even survived a war and an earthquake without even a scratch. i was really surprised by all this, so i'm going to try to make my own one out of candy.
Supplies
you will need:
tiny brick-shaped cookies(buy as much as you can)
long toothpicks
honey
spoon
a large tube of taped paper
Tasty Bricks
go to your nearest store and buy as much brick-shaped cookies you can.
the real one has about 356 stone bricks(the amount of days of one year), and that's TOO MUCH treats for you. so remeasured it so everyone can enjoy it. the picture above is just temporary, and i really didn't followed the pictures. but i think the numbers are simular. i used 6 large packs of tiny cookies. fortunately, they were on sale.
(painful)building
the real pain happened while actually building it. but i made it anyway. if you find it hard on building, apply some honey as glue and get a large tube made out of taped paper and build the bricks around it. for the square platform above, i used long toothpicks to make the frame.
the explosion above was my emotions while building.
Done!
it's done!! it not really the same with the original, but at least it's simular.
ten seconds after i made it, my older sister ate the top part. be sure to check out my other stuff, build it yourself, and i'll see you guys at the next project.
