Contest Winning Paper Airplane
This paper airplane, if made correctly, can fly pretty much forever. It is a very simple design without any difficult folds and it is made with a single piece of paper, no scissors or tape.
You Will Need
- One sheet of letter paper
- A table
Diagonal Folds
Fold the bottom left corner down until the left edge matches up to the top edge, as shown in picture #1. Make a crease and then unfold.
Repeat with the top left corner to the bottom side.
Fold in Half
Fold the paper in half as shown in the picture above, then unfold.
Fold Across
Fold the top left corner down so the top edge is along the line in step 2. Then fold the bottom corner up the same way. Ignore the extra crease that you can see in the photos from now on.
The Front
Fold the front of the airplane (the left side) down until the creases line up with the folds in the previous step, as shown in photo #2.
The Sides
Fold the side up so that the front matches with the center crease. Repeat with the other side.
The Tab
fold the tab up so that it partially covers the previous folds. Then fold the plane in half.
The Wings
Fold the left side down as shown in pictures 1 and 2. Repeat on the other side.
The Side Tabs and Tweaking
Fold the side tabs up as shown, about a centimeter. tweak the back corners up a bit if the airplane is flying downward. Continue adjusting the side and back flaps until it flies straight and level.
