Coconut Deodorant

This is a recipe for deodorant I made for my sister, who has axillary(pit) hyperhidrosis. I have also tried rubbing it into my hands(Palmar Hyperhidrosis here) with some success too. It is incredibly easy to make. You can check out this site for more details and Advice on Excessive Sweating: CureExcessiveSweat.com.

Ingredients

I have measured everything in this recipe in parts(to make it easy to scale up quantity). The measurements I provide last around 2 weeks for one woman.

Coconut Oil (3 Parts eg 3 tsp)

Baking Soda (8 Parts eg 8tsp)

Scented oil(optional)

Small Container(to store)

Measure the Oil

Take an amount of coconut oil(as much as you’ll feel you need in a week) for every 3 parts of Coconut Oil, you’ll be adding 8 of baking soda, so remember that when selecting your container and considering how much you’ll be using.

Add Baking Soda

Grab a fork and sprinkle the baking soda into the coconut oil one part at a time (eg 1 tsp at a time) and mix and fold in using the fork. Make sure you mash it through properly to mix it up into a paste. It should be a cheesecake consistency when you're done. In warmer climates, you may need to add one or two extra parts to achieve this.

Voila!

You can now mix in scented oil to your liking. If you want to stick with a natural scent - that’s it! A super simple and fantastic solution that works for a lot of people, and the best thing is – its aluminium free!
