Cinnamon Apple Ring Doughnuts
Hey Folks,
Here is a quick and simple way to make cinnamon apple ring doughnuts. The whole process takes about 30 minutes and are a great dessert idea or just for a snack.

What You Will Need.
Ingredients
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Apples (I used Honeycrisp apples)
Vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle over doughnuts
Prep Your Apples.
Peel, core, and slice your apples. mine are about 1/2 inch thick. If you are using a deep fryer, turn it on now and get it to about 375 degrees F.
Mix Wet Ingredients
Mix the egg, milk and oil in a bowl.
Mix Dry Ingredients
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Combine with wet mixture.
Batter Up.
Dip your apples in the patter making sure they are fully covered. The batter is pretty thick, but if you find it is not sticking to your apple slices, try patting them dry with some paper towel,
Fry Time
Drop the battered apples in the fryer for about 3 minutes or until crispy and brown.
Some Extra Flavour
Pull them from the fryer and quickly sprinkle a mixture of sugar/cinnamon.
Enjoy
And that's it. Serve warm with ice cream or on their own. I find they go soggy after a couple hours, so I would not suggest making these for the next day, besides the prep and cook time is only about 30 minutes. I also got about 10 doughnuts from the batter (made some funnel cake with the leftovers)
I hope you have enjoyed this Instructable and let me know if you have made them or maybe improved them (I am going to add caramel to the top next time.
