Loose drawings and papers? Extra pencils? Scissors? You can store them all in this 5 minute folder!

I call it a “Chocolate Bar Folder” because of its brick-like shape. :D

Supplies

  • Sheet of paper
  • Markers
  • Glue

(*Scissors are shown in the picture but are actually not needed.*)

Fold

Fold the sheet of paper in half. You can decorate with marker.

Pencil Holder

Roll one side of the paper and glue it down to make a pencil holder. Of course, make sure the “cylinder” you just made is wide enough to fit an actual pencil. You can also use a pencil to measure the width to make sure an average pencil can fit through.

You can copy this step on the other side if you want.

Fold the bottom of the paper about a centimeter up.

The fold the vertical side next to it the same way. *You don’t have to do this if you made another pencil holder with that side.*

Spine

Remember the crease from the first step (folding in half)? We’ll be making another one by folding either one of your chosen side, and folding it to the other edge, but not fully. The end result should look like the spine of a book.

Finished!

And now the folder is finished! Wasn’t it easy? Now you can store loose papers and extra pencils, and even scissors if they’re small enough. This is a great way to organize and doesn’t take much time to set up.
