Chickpea Hummus With Tortilla Chips

Hello everybody!

This is a recipe for chickpea hummus, without the sesame paste. The kind that I have eaten from the store has always been much too oily for me, so mine doesn`t have any oil in it except sesame oil. But you can add lots of things to suite your taste like, chili oil, cumin, red peppers, and cilantro. I never really measure things when I cook unless its a new recipe, so I`ve written down the ingredients the best I could. Hope you like this!

Ingredients

One can of Chickpeas (reserve the juice)

1 tsp sesame oil, or more

1/4 tsp salt to start off with

1/2 tsp pepper, or more

1 tbsp minced garlic, or as much as you like (I like lots)

1 tsp lemon juice

Chili oil (optional)

Tortilla chips

Puree the Chickpeas

Add the can of chickpeas to a blender, and save the juice. Puree and add the chickpea juice until it`s smooth with no lumps and to your consistency.

Now add the pepper, salt, lemon juice, sesame oil, garlic and puree until creamy.

Transfer to a bowl and taste and add salt to your liking.

Finished!

Put your hummus on a plate of chips and garnish with chives, or oil. I`ve recently found out that lime flavored chips go awesome with hummus, it brings out the lemon flavor. Hope you enjoyed this!
